If you're serious about triathlon training, hiring a coach can be a game-changer. A triathlon coach can help you achieve your goals faster, avoid injuries, and improve your overall performance.

We can have all the resources and kit to train for a triathlon, but if we don't have a structured plan or a direction to head in with the help of a guide or coach, we may get lost along the way.

Hey everyone! It’s been almost two weeks since the United States Olympic Trials Marathon in Atlanta. I am still buzzing from the day we had there. Though we had hoped for even more, we did put five athletes in the top 20, including all three of our women in the top eight—with Aliphine Tuliamuk getting the WIN.

I’m sure you’ve heard that one a few times. Knowledge is important in our lives. It enables us to make a whole lot of A’s; assumptions, accusations, and when we have conflicting knowledge, arguments. Knowing creates conflict, comfort and security, nerves, and so many other things that I’m sure you’re all well aware of, because you’ve lived, and you have general knowingness (is that even a word?… I don’t know).

In our everyday lives, knowledge is important.

We are on our way to the USA Cycling National Road Championships, where I will be competing in the U23 Time Trial later that day. I’m not nervous – being nervous means that you think something bad might happen – instead, I am excited.
I had nailed my preparation in the weeks leading up to the race, I was both fit and fresh, and I knew that I had the opportunity, that day, to do something special.

And what I mean by “imperfect” is by no means a slam on life itself. It’s simply a word that dignifies the bigger picture and global importance of events in our lives that may not always synch up with our “perfect” training schedule. Yes, the real world has contours that can necessitate bending the straight line we see between today and our ultimate race performance.
